Product Security Engineer (Robotics)

Salary: $137,861–$250,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Audit NEO’s stack from bootloaders and Linux userspace through cloud services and CI/CD pipelines, identifying vulnerabilities and driving remediation.
• Lead product security initiatives and partner with Robotics, AI, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and Enterprise Engineering teams.
• Conduct penetration tests, threat models, and risk assessments against NEO and its supporting infrastructure.
• Design and develop security-critical components, including secure boot chains, code-signing pipelines, attestation flows, and hardened system services.
• Define security architecture for robot provisioning, deployment, updates, and operation at scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product security, offensive security, or a closely related engineering role.
• Strong experience with Linux internals and security mechanisms, including namespaces, syscall filtering, hardening, and least-privilege service design.
• Software development and code-auditing experience using C, C++, Rust, Go, or Python, with experience shipping production code.
• Hands-on penetration testing against production systems and strong investigative, analytical, communication, and systems-thinking skills.
• Secure architecture experience in Linux or embedded systems, cryptography and PKI, or cloud and CI/CD infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar SoC platforms, firmware and code-signing pipelines, SBOMs, and supply-chain hardening.
• Experience with factory provisioning, key and certificate distribution, ACME/SCEP, HSMs, or remote device attestation.
• Exposure to post-quantum cryptography, zero-trust architectures, identity systems, and secrets management.
• Experience supporting robotics, automotive, manufacturing, or other hardware engineering environments.
• Experience in fast-paced startup environments.
