Upgrade Install and Relocation Engineer

Location: Based in Austin, Texas, with on-site presence required. The role requires 80% travel, primarily within the United States, with occasional international travel. Day, night, rotating, on-call, weekend, and extended-hour schedules may be required.

What you will do

• Install, relocate, de-install, assemble, and qualify lithography systems and subsystems in cleanroom environments.
• Execute system upgrades, modifications, and recovery activities according to technical procedures and specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues affecting equipment performance.
• Work with customers, engineers, and technical experts to resolve installation and operational challenges.
• Analyze system performance and verify compliance with engineering, safety, and quality requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, service reports, work orders, and project handovers, while supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, electronics, or a related technical field, or two years of practical experience.
• At least one year of experience in field service, semiconductor manufacturing, equipment installation, high-technology manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or a similar technical environment.
• At least one year of experience assembling, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electromechanical equipment.
• Experience with data analysis tools, spreadsheet software, technical reporting applications, and technical documentation.
• Must be work authorized in the United States without employer sponsorship and legally authorized to access controlled technology under U.S. export regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required; ability to work in cleanrooms, confined spaces, and physically demanding positions is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, vacuum systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, or precision alignment.
• Relevant associate or technical degree, military technical training, or equivalent industry experience.
