Senior Customer Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Ottawa or Toronto, Canada

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery, build bespoke architectures, and deliver product demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, overseeing onboarding, implementation, and long-term health.
• Carry a variable quota tied to new business acquisition and account growth, identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for C-level stakeholders.
• Utilize AI agents and internal platforms to automate routine tasks like RFP responses and telemetry monitoring.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in Canada without sponsorship for an export license.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, or Sales Engineering.
• Broad technical expertise in web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with understanding of SaaS metrics.
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills for C-suite communication.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with hirify.global's developer platform and AI ecosystem (Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize).
• Applied AI knowledge including prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or RAG architectures.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for custom integration scripts and API connectors.
