Senior Software Engineer (Localization and Mapping)

Salary: $193,930–$291,150 base salary per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Research, develop, and implement mapping and state-estimation algorithms.
• Analyze algorithm accuracy and performance using data from multiple sources.
• Build well-tested C++ software for safety-critical robotic systems.
• Deploy and test mapping and localization solutions on robotic platforms and in simulation.
• Collaborate with autonomy, infrastructure, and systems stakeholders on map requirements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industry experience as a software engineer.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience developing well-tested safety-critical software.
• Hands-on experience with mapping or localization algorithms for autonomous vehicles, drones, or similar systems.
• Deep understanding of state estimation, probabilistic filtering, and 3D geometry.
• Experience working with sensors such as lidar and cameras.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field.
• Experience with satellite imagery, lidar point clouds, or standard-definition maps.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with machine learning pipelines or machine learning for perception and mapping.
