Test Engineer / Senior Test Engineer (Robotics)

Salary: $148,000–$181,000 annually plus equity

What you will do

• Own functional and end-of-line test stations for robot subassemblies including feet, heads, batteries, hands, arms, and power boards.
• Develop and deploy operator-facing test applications with guided workflows, pass/fail verdicts, error handling, and unit-level traceability.
• Improve station uptime, cycle time, test coverage, data quality, and deployment repeatability for high-volume production.
• Debug failures across hardware, firmware, software, instruments, fixtures, and production processes, and drive corrective actions.
• Connect test results, serial numbers, board identifiers, and logs to test-data systems for actionable production insights.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++, with willingness to work in both.
• Ability to read schematics and debug electronics at board or subsystem level.
• Exposure to embedded systems, microcontrollers, and protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, or EtherCAT.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and programmable power supplies.

Nice to have

• Experience building production test stations, end-of-line testers, hardware-in-the-loop systems, or test infrastructure.
• Experience with robotics, electromechanical systems, motor controllers, sensors, actuators, batteries, embedded Linux, or real-time systems.
• Experience deploying and maintaining software across production PCs or factory stations.
• Knowledge of test-data pipelines, traceability, dashboards, WATS, MES, SQL, Splunk, or similar tools.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, Git, CI/CD, Bazel, remote deployment, automated station management, or AI-assisted development tools.
