Onboarding Program Manager

What you will do

• Design and own the onboarding program end to end: pre-boarding, first day, first week, first 30 days
• Build scalable systems and workflows that flex with headcount growth
• Use AI tools to automate repetitive onboarding tasks such as documentation, scheduling, FAQs, and progress tracking
• Manage handoff from offer acceptance to first day including background checks, immigration, equipment, paperwork, and communications
• Define and track success metrics and report to leadership
• Partner cross-functionally with IT, Facilities, Payroll, HR Ops, and hiring managers to ensure seamless new-hire experience

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in San Francisco and work onsite
• 4+ years experience in onboarding, HR/People operations, or similar roles, preferably in fast-growing startups
• Strong project management skills and ability to run multiple workstreams
• Fluency with AI tools to automate and scale people processes
• Analytical skills to define and track metrics and communicate results
• Excellent written and verbal communication
