Strategic Finance Hire (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California, 5 days per week, within walking distance of Caltrain

What you will do

• Own and maintain core financial models.
• Drive annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting with business leaders.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and senior leadership to align financial outcomes with company strategy.
• Define and report KPIs covering topline performance, unit economics, and operational efficiency.
• Build business cases for pricing, deal structuring, investments, hiring plans, and product launches.
• Prepare board, investor, and executive materials and help improve finance operations through AI-enabled modeling, reporting, and insight generation.

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or growth investing.
• Expert financial modeling skills and strong analytical rigor.
• Ability to evaluate financial opportunities and risks and communicate recommendations clearly to executives.
• Experience with SaaS, usage-based, or consumption-driven business models.
• Operational experience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company is strongly preferred.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a hands-on approach in a lean, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Background in AI, ML, or cloud infrastructure economics.
• Experience using AI tools to automate finance workflows.
