Assembly Technician (Robotics)

Location: Hayward, CA; on-site. Day shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or swing shift: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.

Salary: $28.00–$30.00 per hour plus equity

What you will do

• Build precision mechanical subassemblies for NEO humanoid robots according to engineering intent and manufacturing standards.
• Meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and correct torque specifications across completed assemblies.
• Deliver assemblies that pass first-time inspection and minimize rework and downstream defects.
• Identify and escalate process issues, tooling problems, and recurring defects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area compliant with ESD and manufacturing standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, torque wrenches, gauges, and other basic measuring instruments.
• Strong manual dexterity and comfort with detailed, repetitive precision work on small parts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform sustained hands-on physical work throughout a shift.
• Reliable, punctual, accountable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience assembling robotics, aerospace, medical device, or other precision mechanical products.
• Familiarity with ESD procedures and controlled manufacturing environments.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume, or early-stage production environments.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
