Senior Autonomy Technical Project Manager

Location: Hybrid role based out of the hirify.global HQ in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States; occasional travel to operational sites may be required.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead technical teams solving complex autonomous-driving problems through deep data analysis.
• Clarify and document ambiguous requirements and challenges for efficient team execution.
• Prioritize competing technical tasks and aggressively identify and mitigate project risks.
• Manage project planning, status updates, detailed tracking, and delivery coordination.
• Coordinate across autonomy, vehicle engineering, software, product, finance, and operations.
• Communicate technical concepts, root-cause analyses, solutions, and data-backed results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; engineering, computer science, or another highly technical degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as an engineer or in another highly technical area.
• At least 2 years of experience managing direct reports, mentoring, and coaching.
• At least 5 years of technical project management experience, including team management, project planning, status reporting, and risk management.
• Ability to understand software and hardware development lifecycles, integration processes, and test and validation complexity.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people and teams.

Nice to have

• Working-level knowledge of the autonomous vehicle industry.
• 7 or more years of project or program management experience.
• 5 or more years of experience managing direct reports, mentoring, and coaching.
• Startup experience.
