Accounting Manager (AI & Robotics)

Location: Hybrid, based in the NYC/Metro Area; three days per week in the New York City office in Chelsea, with remote flexibility on remaining days

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 annually, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity grant

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end accounting function, including the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, inventory, fixed assets, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and analyze monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on inventory accounting, COGS, landed costs, standard costing, manufacturing variances, and other financial aspects of the hardware business.
• Partner with Revenue Operations on billing, collections, credit terms, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and order-to-cash processes.
• Establish and improve accounting policies, internal controls, close procedures, technical accounting documentation, and financial reporting processes under GAAP and ASC 606.
• Support cash flow forecasting, budgeting, audits, tax preparation, multi-state sales and use tax filings, staff development, and ad hoc financial analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in hardware, manufacturing, or consumer electronics.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, inventory accounting, standard costing, and COGS in a physical-product business.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and advanced Excel; demonstrated ownership of month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Working knowledge of AI-enabled tools and automation applied to accounting workflows, reconciliations, reporting, data analysis, or process improvement.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the New York City office.
