Location: Hybrid, based out of the NYC office in Chelsea; 3 days per week in the New York City office with remote flexibility on remaining days

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 annual base salary, plus a 10% discretionary annual bonus and equity grant.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end accounting function, including the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, inventory, fixed assets, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and analyze monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, while supporting cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on inventory accounting, COGS, landed costs, standard costing, manufacturing variances, and hardware-related financial matters.
• Partner with Revenue Operations on billing, collections, credit terms, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and order-to-cash processes.
• Establish and improve accounting policies, close procedures, internal controls, GAAP compliance, and technical accounting treatment for complex transactions.
• Support audits, tax preparation, sales and use tax filings, supervise accounting staff as the team grows, and identify opportunities to use AI and automation in accounting workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in hardware, manufacturing, or consumer electronics.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal control frameworks, inventory accounting, standard costing, and COGS in a physical-product business.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and advanced Excel; demonstrated ownership of month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Working knowledge of AI-enabled tools and automation applied to accounting workflows, reporting, reconciliations, data analysis, or process improvement.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the New York City office. Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required.
