Controller (NetSuite)

Location: Fully remote within the United States

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, consolidation, and supporting close documentation.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, balance sheet and P&L variance analysis, and cash flow reporting.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and reporting standards across the organization and its portfolio of brands.
• Coordinate audits and reviews, prepare auditor materials, and identify financial, operational, and control risks.
• Improve accounting workflows through automation and partner with Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders on systems, reporting, integrations, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is strongly preferred.
• Progressive accounting experience with significant ownership of month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles, including consolidated financial statements and revenue recognition.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience is required; Salesforce, Accounting Seed, or similar systems are a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience in a multi-entity, private equity-backed, technology, education, or high-growth environment is highly valued.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Accounting Seed, or similar integrated financial and business systems.
• Acquisition integration experience.
