Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Senior Manager

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; hybrid work with two days in the Denver office each week

Salary: $164,669–$205,836 USD annually

What you will do

• Research, analyze, and document complex technical accounting matters under US GAAP.
• Prepare accounting memos, calculations, disclosures, and audit support for topics including stock-based compensation, capitalized software, commissions, business combinations, leases, and debt and equity.
• Develop accounting policies and procedures and lead implementation of significant changes.
• Manage external valuation specialists and review 409A, intangible asset, and equity award valuations.
• Collaborate with Accounting Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR, auditors, and consultants to operationalize accounting guidance.
• Design SOX-compliant processes and controls, improve external reporting readiness, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA license.
• 7+ years of combined Big 4 public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience in SaaS or high-growth technology companies.
• Expertise in technical accounting, complex non-routine transactions, and drafting accounting memos.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks such as SOX.
• Experience with increasing external reporting, audit, or regulatory complexity.
• Familiarity with ERP and financial reporting tools; NetSuite and Workiva are preferred.

• Experience supporting an S-1 filing or IPO project.
• Experience using automation and AI tools to improve efficiency.
