Revenue Accounting Manager

What you will do

• Lead monthly revenue accounting close activities, including usage reviews, journal entries, revenue estimates, flux analyses, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Evaluate complex and non-standard customer arrangements and apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Manage reconciliations between revenue subledgers and the general ledger for deferred revenue, contract assets, and unbilled accounts receivable.
• Analyze large datasets, investigate discrepancies across contracts, billing, revenue systems, and the general ledger, and provide recommendations to management.
• Define system requirements, lead UAT, and partner with Engineering and Finance Data Services on scalable revenue, billing, and ERP solutions.
• Improve automation, internal controls, SOX compliance, audit support, financial reporting, and cross-functional revenue processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• 10+ years of combined experience in public accounting, corporate revenue accounting, quote-to-cash, or related financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606, complex revenue recognition, quote-to-cash processes, and operational accounting.
• Experience leading monthly and quarterly close activities, improving close quality and speed, supporting SOX compliance, and working with external auditors.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex calculations and large datasets, plus experience using AI tools, LLMs, copilots, or scripting assistants professionally.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, document conclusions clearly, and communicate data-driven recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience with usage-based SaaS and subscription revenue arrangements.
• Database and SQL experience for querying data, investigating discrepancies, and generating reports.
• Experience defining system requirements, leading UAT, partnering with engineering or data teams, and implementing scalable automation.
• Experience supporting financial statement disclosures and external reporting requirements.
