Back Plant Operator

Location: West Palm Beach, Florida, USA; onsite at a power generation facility

Salary: $22.79–$30.34 per hour

What you will do

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to feed RDF material into fuel feed systems.
• Spot incoming waste trucks and direct dumping locations on the tipping floor.
• Load non-ferrous metals and ash trucks while maintaining ash house equipment.
• Perform pre-operational inspections, routine checks, and required equipment log entries.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, report malfunctions, and maintain fuel, lubricant, and oil levels.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures and maintain clean, orderly work areas.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a front loader or other heavy equipment.
• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour schedule, including day and night shifts.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, work at heights and in confined spaces, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator and work in varying weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CDL Class B license preferred.
