What you will do

• Manage a team of 5–6 software engineers and own execution across planning, prioritization, delivery, and stakeholder alignment.
• Set product and technical direction for agentic video editing in partnership with Product, Design, and AI Research.
• Improve chat-based editing experiences, agent capabilities, infrastructure, and user workflows.
• Drive data-driven experimentation across models, routing, pricing, prompts, tools, and token optimization.
• Strengthen evaluation and product analysis practices using user data and quality signals.
• Develop engineers through mentoring, feedback, hiring, performance management, and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience delivering complex, cross-functional product work with high velocity and quality.
• Strong technical judgment, including architectural decision-making and evaluation of design tradeoffs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners across Product, Design, and Research.
• Ability to plan strategically over a 12+ month horizon while adapting priorities in a rapidly changing AI environment.
• Experience hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI agents, developing evaluations, or leading teams working on LLM-powered products.
• Experience building creative tools or frequent use of creative media software.
