Senior Backend Developer (Go)

Location: On-site in Sunnyvale, California

Salary: $194,000 – $233,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop containerized microservices for a distributed multi-tenant system processing real-time network telemetry.
• Design, architect, and deliver robust implementations for critical features and subsystems.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from requirement clarification to deployment and operational support.
• Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns to foster team growth.
• Partner with Product Management to refine requirements and ensure high-quality customer outcomes.
• Maintain code quality through early developer testing and functional/integration testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software systems.
• Must be able to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls.
• Extensive experience with Go and SQL.
• Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) at the API/programming level.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Unix/Linux environments, and TCP/IP networking.

Nice to have

• Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of networking and security controls.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
