Senior Backend Engineer (Go)

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $163,000–$224,070, $172,600–$237,270, or $191,800–$263,670 annually, depending on US geographic pay zone.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate distributed systems that deliver feature-flag configuration to hirify.global SDKs.
• Improve the reliability, latency, and scalability of streaming and polling infrastructure.
• Debug complex production issues and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Partner with SDK, Core Product, and Data Platform teams on flag delivery to customers.
• Drive architectural decisions that balance performance, cost, and operability.
• Improve observability, deployment safety, testing, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional backend engineering experience, including distributed or high-throughput production systems.
• Experience designing, building, operating, and debugging reliable low-latency services.
• Strong production ownership, on-call experience, and a focus on reliability and observability.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python and experience with AWS or an equivalent cloud platform.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools and observability platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, or New Relic.
• Deep understanding of concurrency, partitioning, retries, idempotency, backpressure, and failure handling.
