Audio Systems Engineer (Robotics)

Location: On-site in San Carlos, CA

Salary: $173,861 – $240,000

What you will do

• Design, integrate, and optimize microphone and speaker systems for humanoid robots.
• Collaborate with software teams to integrate audio hardware with signal processing, noise suppression, and machine learning pipelines.
• Manage the full product lifecycle from concept development and prototyping to validation and production deployment.
• Establish validation methodologies and performance metrics to ensure high-quality audio reliability.
• Conduct field testing and data analysis to drive iterative improvements in speech capture and localization accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience designing audio hardware systems, including microphones, speakers, and signal chains.
• Strong hands-on experience with audio measurement and validation equipment.
• Experience with real-time audio streaming systems and digital signal processing techniques.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in San Carlos, CA.
• Understanding of noise reduction, audio enhancement, and speech capture optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded systems and firmware development.
• Background in consumer electronics product development.
• Experience designing factory-level audio test systems and manufacturing validation processes.
• Familiarity with beamforming, speech enhancement, or audio perception technologies.
