Company

hirify.global develops risk-aware, reliable, field-ready AI and robotics systems for unstructured environments.

What you will do

  • Drive robot form, shape, CMF, and industrial design decisions that define how robotic systems look and feel.
  • Shape human-robot interaction and expressiveness across displays, lighting, audio, movement, and behavior.
  • Select, specify, integrate, and program displays, LED systems, speakers, and microphones for industrial and public environments.
  • Evaluate display readability, impact resistance, loudness, voice pickup, and acoustic performance in field conditions.
  • Write validation scripts for display boot-up, rendering, onboard compute connectivity, and deployment readiness.
  • Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Computing, Product, UX, and Field Operations teams to deliver integrated hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Human-Robot Interaction, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial or product design, audio-visual systems, or robotics.
  • Experience selecting speakers, microphones, OLED/LCD/LED displays, and lighting elements for hardware products.
  • Experience balancing size, weight, and power constraints across audio-visual and electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with CAD and 3D-print prototyping; SolidWorks, Fusion, or NX and Python or a related programming language.
  • Familiarity with HRI/HMI concepts, expressive multimodal interaction, gaze and attention, emotion libraries, and collaboration with Electrical and Mechanical teams.

Nice to have

  • End-to-end industrial design experience for consumer robotics or wearable hardware, including concept sketching, CMF systems, and prototyping.
  • Experience with user studies, expressive robot design, animation tools such as Blender or Maya, or behavior and emotion libraries.
  • Familiarity with functional safety, SIL, and CE, FCC, or UL compliance.
  • Experience scaling audio-visual hardware to volume manufacturing with contract manufacturers and DFM/DFA practices.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fully onsite collaboration with flexible working hours.
  • Full benefits, equity, and generous time off.
  • Work on robotics systems deployed in real-world, unstructured environments.
  • Inclusive workplace focused on merit, qualifications, and performance.
  • Close-knit, interdisciplinary team with experience from leading robotics, AI, aerospace, and automotive organizations.
