Staff Platform Engineer (Web3)

Location: Remote in the United States or European Union

Salary: $190,000–$345,000 USD annually for US-based candidates; $161,500–$293,250 USD annually for EU-based candidates. Compensation outside the US and EU varies by local market.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve platform services, infrastructure, and internal tooling supporting hirify.global products.
• Own complex technical systems from definition through implementation, balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability, and developer experience.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting across platform systems.
• Maintain AI skills and tools that make systems more accessible, introspectable, and easier to contribute to.
• Expand CI coverage and partner with product teams to improve product development and deployment.
• Build and ship reliable software using AI, modern development tools, and sound engineering judgment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale backend or platform systems.
• Strong fluency in JVM languages such as Kotlin or Java.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems, backend services, and modern cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of platform engineering, developer tooling, CI/CD, observability, and operational practices.
• Ability to own complex, ambiguous technical problems and make independent technical decisions.
• Experience using AI tools and workflows to improve engineering quality, efficiency, and team effectiveness.
