Senior DevOps Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in Los Angeles, California, United States; collaboration primarily within U.S. time zones

What you will do

• Build and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows.
• Own consistent multi-cloud deployments across SaaS, customer VPC, and on-premises environments using GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Define infrastructure and deployment standards and automate provisioning with infrastructure-as-code.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and SLO practices for platform health and reliability.
• Design application security, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Partner with developers and QA, participate in on-call incident response, perform root cause analysis, and maintain infrastructure documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years operating production cloud infrastructure, preferably in multi-cloud environments.
• Deep experience designing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience operating observability stacks covering metrics, logs, and traces.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar, plus strong debugging and distributed-systems problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Database administration, backup, and recovery experience.
• Cloud-native security, multi-tenant application security, networking, load balancing, or traffic-routing experience.
• Performance testing, capacity planning, and cost-optimization experience.
• Experience with AI/ML, HPC, or other data- and compute-intensive workloads.
• Contributions to DevOps platform tooling or open-source automation projects.
