Engineering Manager (AI Infrastructure)

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $275,000–$330,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Lead, recruit, hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of cloud platform engineers.
• Set technical direction through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
• Translate the infrastructure roadmap into team priorities, milestones, and end-to-end project execution.
• Establish standards for reliability, performance, operational excellence, and pragmatic architecture.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to communicate progress, capacity, and tradeoffs.
• Lead resolution of major incidents and turn incident learnings into infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years in an engineering leadership role.
• Track record building high-performance distributed systems at scale.
• Strong background in cloud infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of low-level operating-system foundations, including the Linux kernel, file systems, and containers.
• Proficiency in Rust, C, C++, or Java.
