Engineering Leader (AI)

hirify.global is building a cloud-native video security platform that uses computer vision, multimodal AI, and connected cameras and sensors to improve safety, access control, and operational awareness.

What you will do

• Lead the California engineering organization for the Sunnyvale office.
• Set technical direction across the edge AI platform, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing engineering.
• Stay hands-on through architecture, code review, debugging, and technical decision-making.
• Manage and significantly grow the engineering team as the organization scales 2–3x.
• Partner directly with the CTO, CEO, and Product organization.
• Build a strong hiring process and maintain a high engineering quality bar.

Requirements

• Staff or very senior individual-contributor experience, followed by progression into engineering management.
• Current or previous experience as a Tech Lead Manager or Engineering Manager.
• Deep expertise in at least one of distributed or real-time systems, robotics and AI, or high-performance computing.
• Experience in an established, top-tier engineering organization of approximately 50–100 or more people.
• A strong track record of hiring and evaluating high-quality engineers.
• Continued hands-on technical involvement and ownership mindset.
