Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada; onsite emergency medical services role

Salary: $30.74–$38.79 CAD hourly, according to the MHSW Central Alberta Collective Agreement

hirify.global Health Services West operates and manages integrated pre-hospital emergency medical services in Central Alberta as part of hirify.global, a not-for-profit health services organization.

What you will do

  • Provide immediate treatment, stabilization, and transportation for sick and injured individuals.
  • Operate MHS West emergency vehicles safely and maintain vehicles and equipment in a state of readiness.
  • Respond to emergencies in hazardous environments, including lifting and extricating patients.
  • Coordinate care with hospitals, public agencies, and other external organizations.
  • Complete patient assessments, ePCRs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Participate in community education, quality assurance, and continuing professional development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Alberta operator’s licence, class 1, 2, or 4.
  • Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics.
  • Completion of Alberta Health Services MCPs.
  • Current CPR certification and FARE certificate.
  • Good physical health and ability to lift and move heavy patients and work in hazardous environments.
