Mechatronics Technician (Robotics)

Base salary: $70,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build and test prototypes, sub-assemblies, and feasibility units under engineering guidance.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, layouts, and test procedures for hardware testing, checkout, troubleshooting, and rework.
• Fabricate custom test equipment, enclosures, and harnesses, and source components as needed.
• Set up and operate oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies, DMMs, and other standard test equipment.
• Perform PCBA and cable rework to IPC standards and support manufacturing workflows.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware Engineers to accelerate prototyping and improve reliability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an engineering technician in a prototype or development laboratory.
• Ability to independently read and interpret PCBA schematics, cable drawings, and test procedures.
• Experience with prototype electro-mechanical hardware, including PCBAs, cables, harnesses, and robotic or vehicle systems.
• Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, rework, and cable assembly to IPC standards.
• Familiarity with electrical components, connectors, tools, and test equipment.
• Solid understanding of fundamental electrical engineering concepts.
