Focus on developing the Building Asset Management Database, managing building defects and risks, and guiding technical teams and external consultants across a large retail estate.
Location: National, United Kingdom; hybrid, with 60% of the week spent collaborating at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely

What you will do
- Lead internal specialists and external consultants, providing built asset and structural engineering advice.
- Own and evolve building standards and specifications in line with legislation and business requirements.
- Manage building condition surveys, consultancy services, asset data, and defect management programmes.
- Lead development of the Building Asset Management Database and use reliable asset information to support strategic decisions.
- Provide technical input into property strategy, investment planning, asset risk management, and estate improvement.
- Drive innovation, safety performance, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing across the business.
Requirements
- Chartered status in a relevant built environment discipline.
- Degree-level qualification in property, construction, engineering, or a related subject.
- Significant experience in built asset, property, construction, or engineering environments.
- Experience leading technical teams and developing building, engineering, or asset management strategies.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, standards, and legislation.
- Commercial awareness, consultancy and supplier management experience, and strong senior stakeholder communication skills.
