What you will do

• Develop and coordinate layouts for outage and maintenance equipment, tooling, and temporary installations.
• Design practical equipment arrangements supporting plant operations, maintenance, shutdowns, and outage logistics.
• Assess access, lifting, handling, installation, and maintenance requirements within existing facilities.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
• Review plant drawings, engineering documentation, and site requirements while identifying constraints, risks, and optimisation opportunities.
• Support design reviews, technical workshops, project delivery, implementation, and commissioning.

Requirements

• 3–8 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical design background covering mechanical equipment, handling systems, and plant operations or maintenance tooling.
• Experience developing equipment layouts in complex industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of maintenance and outage planning requirements.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to meet BPSS security clearance requirements and attend site twice per week in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting plant outages, shutdowns, or major maintenance programmes.
• Knowledge of lifting and handling operations.
