Senior Industrial Workforce Development Analyst

Location: Arlington, VA (hirify.global Headquarters), Alexandria, VA (Mark Center), or telework within the National Capital Region.

Salary: $119,000–$172,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Plan, execute, and assess Department of Defense industrial workforce development initiatives within the IBAS portfolio.
• Analyze workforce supply, demand, labor markets, capability gaps, shortages, and emerging skill requirements across critical defense sectors.
• Develop workforce strategies and investment approaches supporting advanced manufacturing, shipbuilding, aviation, munitions, microelectronics, critical minerals, and other priority sectors.
• Build dashboards, metrics, reports, executive briefings, decision papers, white papers, congressional responses, and strategic communications products.
• Coordinate workforce initiatives with DoD organizations, federal agencies, governments, industry, academia, trade associations, and workforce organizations.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, and performance while supporting acquisition documentation, partnerships, apprenticeships, and workforce pipeline programs.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.
• Master’s degree in public policy, business, economics, workforce development, human capital, engineering, industrial management, or a related field, with 10 or more years of relevant experience; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• At least 10 years of experience supporting workforce development initiatives and closing critical workforce gaps in priority industry sectors.
• Experience with DoD, federal workforce development programs, or Defense Industrial Base initiatives, including IBAS programs and priorities.
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative workforce analysis, labor market research, workforce planning, executive reporting, and decision support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and other analytical and data visualization tools.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting OSD, senior headquarters organizations, senior DoD leadership, interagency working groups, or public-private partnerships.
• Knowledge of the DoD acquisition lifecycle and PPBE process.
• Experience briefing SES, flag, or general officers and leading programs with cost, schedule, and performance accountability.
• PMP, CSEP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of defense manufacturing, supply chain resiliency, industrial base challenges, apprenticeship programs, technical education, or workforce grants.
