Network Architect (AI Silicon & Systems)

Salary: $250,000–$350,000 USD base salary

What you will do

• Research and develop advanced networking solutions for supercomputer-scale AI and ML systems.
• Define networking architecture specifications for performant, robust, and efficient communications across next-generation ML hardware.
• Own the ML networking roadmap and lead cross-functional initiatives involving software, systems, and silicon teams.
• Align network initiatives with product competitiveness requirements in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Contribute to industry standards and represent hirify.global in relevant networking activities.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of industry experience in ML, supercomputing, public cloud, or networking.
• Full-cycle development and delivery experience for networking, ML scale-up processors, or systems.
• Deep knowledge of networking and routing protocols, large-cluster topologies, congestion management, QoS, security isolation, and network reliability.
• Ability to translate networking requirements into silicon, packaging, hardware, system software, runtime software, and compiler requirements.
• Strong analytical, debugging, coding, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills, including C++ or Python.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of experience in ML, supercomputing, public cloud, or networking.
• Understanding of ASIC development cycles, ML architecture, or computer architecture.
• Experience with network simulators and performance or performance/TCO trade-off analysis.
• Experience leading silicon, packaging, system hardware, and system software teams.
• Knowledge of optical IP, optical switches, end-to-end optical systems, or network hardware vendor customization.
