Principal AI Systems Architect

Location: Hybrid in Santa Clara, California, or remote within the United States

Salary: $195,000–$285,000 annually, plus equity and bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance AI accelerator systems for datacenter customers.
• Contribute to hardware and software features for next-generation inference and network accelerators.
• Apply algorithmic innovation, hardware-software co-design, reliability, and security principles across the technology stack.
• Track research in machine learning, computer architecture, and security, and collaborate with design, verification, and software teams.
• Translate customer system requirements into architectures and work with engineering teams to implement them at the appropriate design levels.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of experience, or a PhD with 10+ years of applicable experience.
• Academic or industry experience across multiple areas including computer architecture, secure computing, distributed systems, datacenter reliability and manageability, and machine learning fundamentals.
• Programming fluency in C, C++, or Python, with the ability to prototype quickly and learn new concepts.
• Strong collaboration, initiative, and self-motivation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with RTL.
• Patents and publications in leading architecture, security, or machine learning venues.
