What you will do

• Design and develop enterprise-wide network and security architectures for DoD hybrid environments.
• Implement Zero Trust principles, network segmentation, microsegmentation, ZTNA, and secure access controls.
• Analyze existing infrastructures and troubleshoot complex routing, switching, interoperability, and transport-layer issues.
• Modernize mission-critical systems using Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, optical networking, virtualization, and SDN technologies.
• Document architectures, procedures, and troubleshooting workflows while advising clients and guiding technical teams.
• Improve the security, reliability, and availability of classified network systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting network and security architectures in DoD hybrid environments.
• 5+ years of experience with network segmentation, microsegmentation, SDN, container networking, virtualization, and ZTNA documentation.
• Experience with secret classified networks, DoD security standards, compliance requirements, IAM, MFA, PAM, and ABAC.
• Active Secret clearance or eligibility to access classified information is required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Remote employees may be required to work occasionally at a Booz Allen or customer facility.

Nice to have

• Experience operating DoD networks and supporting defense programs or Zero Trust initiatives.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Dell, HPE, VMware, Linux, Unix, Windows, and cloud networks.
• Experience applying STIGs and performing system security hardening.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• CCNA, CCNP, VMware, JNCIA, or JNCP certification.
