Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (AI)

Location: Seattle, WA; expected to work from the Seattle offices. On-site requirements vary by position and team.

Base salary: $126,000–$189,000 per year, plus bonus plans.

What you will do

• Build rich user interfaces with React and robust backend services in Python.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from ideation and design through testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Scale systems cost-effectively while improving reliability, automation, and deployment tooling.
• Develop platform and framework enhancements, capacity planning, and features that improve team velocity.
• Measure, monitor, and improve system availability, latency, and application health.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, AI/ML experts, research scientists, and partner institutions; mentor less-senior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of technical experience; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Professional web development experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong Python engineering skills and proficiency with frontend frameworks such as React.
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with analytics and observability tools such as Heap or Datadog.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications, including prompt engineering, memory management, agent workflows, and external tool integrations.
