Senior Principal Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote; hiring is available in any country where hirify.global has a legal entity. The role is associated with San Francisco, United States.

Salary: $243,900–$318,425 in Zone A, $219,510–$286,583 in Zone B, or $202,437–$264,293 in Zone C, plus potential benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML-powered customer solutions using Rovo.
• Build enterprise integrations with Python, JavaScript, APIs, microservices, and related technologies.
• Develop AI-augmented workflow automation and turn customer needs into product improvements.
• Manage end-to-end production deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI solutions.
• Address AI risk, data privacy, GDPR, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor Senior FDEs and engineers and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 15+ years of backend software development experience, including at least 5 years at principal or staff level.
• 5+ years delivering production AI/ML solutions, including founding or forward-deployed engineering experience in 0-to-1 product development.
• Deep applied AI/ML expertise, including generative AI, LLMs, and agent-based frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages, with experience in APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration.
• Experience solving ambiguous problems, influencing cross-functional teams, and aligning technical solutions with business goals.
• Experience with AI risk assessment, data privacy, and compliance such as GDPR.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Intelligence, Rovo AI, or AI-powered hirify.global features.
• Familiarity with regulated industries such as finance or healthcare.
• Experience deploying AI solutions to complex production systems at scale.
• Prior engineering team mentoring or leadership experience.
