Staff Software Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Seattle, WA, United States

Salary: $129,500–$186,100 per year, plus potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock unit awards.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI agents using Google ADK and other agentic platforms.
• Develop agent tools, skills, plugins, APIs, and Model Context Protocol integrations for hirify.global’s HCM platform.
• Architect multi-agent coordination patterns, task delegation workflows, communication protocols, and scalable agentic applications.
• Lead cross-functional delivery of large-scale agent-powered projects and drive technical strategy across the organization.
• Manage agent deployment, monitoring, versioning, cost optimization, telemetry, tracing, decision logging, and failure analysis.
• Define comprehensive testing strategies covering prompt validation, tool invocation, multi-step workflows, agent evaluation, and adversarial scenarios.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Seattle, Washington, United States.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years building production agentic AI systems or LLM-powered applications.
• Strong programming experience with one or more of Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic frameworks, including multi-agent systems and tool-use architectures.
• Experience with scalable software architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, MCP, observability, DevOps, technical leadership, and mentoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoGen, Crew AI, Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, context engineering, ReAct, Chain-of-Thought, agent safety, and multi-agent collaboration patterns.
