Principal Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, United States

Base salary: USD $160,200–$425,000 per year, with potential bonus, stock, benefits, and other rewards depending on role eligibility.

What you will do

• Design system architecture for complex products and solutions while contributing production code.
• Collaborate with product managers, technical leads, engineers, and other stakeholders to solve complex technical problems at scale.
• Ensure systems meet security, compliance, reliability, and maintainability requirements.
• Evaluate and adopt industry advancements, including AI-forward engineering practices.
• Mentor engineers in testing, quality assurance, debugging, code review, and development practices.
• Improve deployment safety, developer tooling, automation, and team performance.

Requirements

• 11+ years of experience in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Production software development experience with one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• Equivalent experience may be combined with an associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree to meet the required experience level.
• Experience with scalable systems, system architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and technical problem-solving.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States.
