Software Engineer, Platform

Location: In-office 5 days per week in San Francisco, California, within walking distance of Caltrain

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize the core platform, services, and internal systems.
• Build and improve search and indexing systems, infrastructure, integrations, authentication, billing, and organization management.
• Create internal tooling that improves usability, engineering efficiency, and onboarding.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to integrate AI-driven components with foundational platform systems.
• Promote best practices in code quality, security, and architecture.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Experience building complex, high-performance, and reliable systems.
• Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, or C++.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and standard software engineering practices.
• Knowledge of systems programming and experience working with large codebases and code at scale.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco office five days per week.

• Experience developing software analysis tools, compilers, runtime systems, or similar technologies.
