Robot Service Technician (Robotics)

Location: On-site in San Carlos, California, United States; day shift

What you will do

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system-level failures in deployed humanoid robots.
• Repair and maintain robots and their subsystems to return them to service safely and efficiently.
• Execute validation and test procedures against operational and performance requirements.
• Document root causes, corrective actions, and service records to support fleet reliability analysis.
• Identify recurring failure trends and provide actionable feedback to Engineering and Operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in robotics, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, electronics, or another hands-on technical field.
• Strong electromechanical troubleshooting and repair skills, including experience assembling, maintaining, or repairing electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Experience using calipers, multimeters, torque tools, or similar measurement and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work safely around electrical systems, lift components, and perform hands-on work for extended periods.
• Clear technical documentation and cross-functional communication skills, with strong attention to detail and ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotic systems, automation equipment, or complex electromechanical products.
• Wiring harness repair, precision soldering, crimping, or connector assembly experience.
• Familiarity with command-line tools, hardware diagnostics, or embedded system troubleshooting.
