Staff Product Engineer / Web Lead (React)

Location: Remote across the United States or based in Houston, Texas

Salary: Up to $300,000 per year

Develops a web platform using connected devices and real-time telemetry to help homeowners and HVAC professionals understand system performance, identify issues earlier, and manage maintenance.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and technical roadmap for the web platform.
• Build production applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Create shared components and reusable frontend foundations.
• Develop responsive interfaces for telemetry and AI-generated insights.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs and data integrations.
• Improve testing, accessibility, performance, observability, and web security while supporting other engineers.

Requirements

• At least eight years of professional software engineering experience, with emphasis on the quality and scope of owned work.
• Deep experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience taking products from early concepts through launch and meaningful scale.
• Experience designing modular frontend platforms with shared component infrastructure.
• Experience building data-heavy products involving complex APIs or real-time information.
• Practical knowledge of testing, CI/CD, build systems, usability, and collaboration with product designers.
