Principal UX Engineer, Ads

Location: United States; remote

Base salary: $245,800–$344,100 USD annually, with final compensation based on skills, experience, credentials, and location.

What you will do

• Define and lead UX Engineering strategy across multiple advertising product areas.
• Build sophisticated prototypes and functional experiences to explore concepts and validate assumptions.
• Partner with Design, Research, Product, Engineering, and Data Science leaders to translate complex opportunities into polished user experiences.
• Develop reusable tools, components, systems, and workflows that improve collaboration and accelerate production delivery.
• Set standards for interaction design, accessibility, performance, usability, and technical implementation.
• Investigate AI-enabled approaches for advertising products and internal design and development workflows, while mentoring UX engineers and influencing broader practices.

Requirements

• Extensive experience combining product design and software engineering, supported by a portfolio of sophisticated interactive products or experiences.
• Advanced hands-on expertise with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend technologies.
• Strong product, interaction, and visual judgment, with the ability to create intuitive, polished, accessible experiences.
• Experience influencing product strategy across multiple teams or product areas and working effectively in ambiguous environments.
• Experience developing reusable components, platforms, tools, frameworks, or workflows.
• Excellent communication, collaborative leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder-influence skills, plus an interest in applying emerging technologies such as AI.

Nice to have

• Experience in advertising or complex multi-sided ecosystems such as marketplaces, enterprise software, analytics, commerce, developer platforms, or AI-powered products.
