Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote-first, with optional office spaces in New York City and San Francisco

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 annual total compensation, with an 80% base and 20% variable split, plus equity

hirify.global is an AI development company building an agentic development environment and Oz, an orchestration platform for running cloud agents at scale.

What you will do

• Own enterprise implementations from discovery through production deployment, including success criteria, architecture, and delivery.
• Design agent workflows using Slack, Linear, GitHub Actions, webhooks, cron schedules, and API calls.
• Build and iterate on production prompts, agent skills, configurations, MCP servers, secrets, environments, and integrations.
• Guide self-hosted deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, or Direct backend, including task routing, private registries, and network connectivity.
• Join customer discovery and technical calls to accelerate enterprise deals and identify opportunities for Oz cloud agents.
• Document reusable architecture patterns and communicate customer feedback to Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, early-stage engineer, or startup founder building custom technical solutions and enterprise pilot implementations.
• Strong infrastructure fundamentals, including Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure, container orchestration, and Linux.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, agent architectures, tool use, and evaluation of non-deterministic AI systems in production.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior engineers and executives and explain the value of cloud agents.
• Strong interpersonal skills for navigating enterprise customer relationships.

Nice to have

• Production experience with AI agents, LangChain, or custom agent frameworks.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, webhooks, event-driven automation, APIs, or SDKs.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, SOC 2, self-hosted deployments, and network boundary constraints.
• Experience with terminal applications, shell scripting, command-line tooling, Rust, or Go.
