PM Operations Manager, Service (Robotics)

Location: San Carlos, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $145,000–$175,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Lead the PM shift of the maintenance and repair operations organization.
• Own repair operations for complex electromechanical robotic systems, from intake and diagnostics through validation and return to service.
• Establish scalable workflows for diagnostics, repair, failure tracking, and operational readiness.
• Improve repair turnaround time, repeat-failure reduction, reliability, and throughput.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to improve product reliability and serviceability.
• Develop and mentor repair technicians and diagnostic/service engineers.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in electromechanical repair, maintenance, sustaining engineering, or related technical operations.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience with complex hardware systems.
• Experience leading technical teams in manufacturing, robotics, automotive, aerospace, or other high-reliability industries.
• Experience building scalable repair or maintenance workflows and applying root cause analysis.
• Ability to work strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, ambiguous operational environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred but not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, EV platforms, or aviation systems.
• Background in depot operations or medium-to-high-volume repair environments.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering, failure analysis, traceability-driven, or safety-critical operations.
• Experience scaling repair or refurbishment operations from prototype to production volume.
