Associate Operations Manager, Service Operations, Labs (Robotics)

Location: Dublin, Sunnyvale, or San Jose, California; must be located in the Bay Area and work onsite with a 100% in-office expectation.

Salary: $101,400–$149,000 USD per year, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Lead new and experienced service technicians to maximize uptime and fleet utilization.
• Promote a safety-first service culture and ensure adherence to local service SOPs.
• Manage work order and parts flows, tools, equipment, and technician productivity.
• Partner with Service Engineering on tooling, jig requirements, and field deployment of new platforms.
• Track KPIs, including operational variances, and drive accountability for service performance.
• Support technician development and flex to nights or weekends for operational oversight when needed.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in service operations, field service, or technical operations.
• 2+ years leading service technicians or field teams with ownership of performance and execution.
• Strong experience with work order systems and operational KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, throughput, and SLA.
• Experience scaling operations, launching new markets, or supporting infrastructure buildouts in fast-paced environments.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and successful completion of an MVR check required.
• Must be located in the Bay Area, California, and able to work onsite full time.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, electric vehicles, aircraft, or similarly complex systems.
• Mobile or field service experience.
• Familiarity with MaintainX, JIRA, or similar service platforms.
• Exposure to diagnostics, APIs, scripting, Python, or GitHub.
