Field Application Engineer (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Abilene, Texas, United States; frequent travel across the country required.

Salary: $21–$25 per hour, dependent on experience.

What you will do

• Deploy and operate drones, quadrupeds, humanoid robots, and other robotic systems in the field.
• Support testing, data collection, remote operations, client presentations, and demonstrations.
• Communicate technical information clearly to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document technical issues, test results, and client feedback.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and improve deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and usability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in team-based environments.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the United States.
• Willingness to work fully onsite in Abilene, Texas.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with robotics hardware, including drones, quadrupeds, or humanoid robots.
• Knowledge of basic electronics, sensors, and robotic subsystems.
• Basic coding or scripting skills in Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Experience with field testing, remote operations, or client-facing technical roles.
