TL;DR
Integration Engineer (Robotics): Evaluating and validating sensors, platform hardware, and autonomy software for robotic ground-handling systems with an accent on field testing, fleet maintenance, and production-readiness verification. Focus on executing supervised autonomy runs, debugging field issues, profiling sensors, testing edge-case maneuvers, and tuning controllers around autonomous machinery.

Location: Onsite in Atlanta, Georgia, USA; field-based work with regular travel to deployment airports and test facilities. Weekend work is required.

What you will do

  • Evaluate and validate sensors and platform hardware through structured test programs.
  • Execute supervised autonomy runs and release-level testing for software and hardware readiness.
  • Collect data for edge-case maneuvers, sensor profiling, obstacle avoidance, and controller tuning.
  • Debug minor autonomy software issues, read logs, and triage field problems.
  • Maintain fleet software through updates, patches, and configuration management.
  • Document test results and train Test Operators to expand team capability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in systems integration, field testing, or hardware/software validation for robotic platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with LiDAR, cameras, radar, GPS/GNSS, and embedded hardware.
  • Proficiency with Linux and command-line tools.
  • Ability to analyze software logs, identify anomalies, and debug issues.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills; ability to work outdoors, handle test equipment, and operate near autonomous machinery.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ROS2 or similar robotics middleware.
  • Familiarity with autonomous vehicle platform architecture and networking fundamentals.
  • Exposure to Python or C++ for scripting or log analysis.
  • Experience mentoring or training junior technical staff.
