Software Engineer II (Cloud Infrastructure)

Salary: $140,000–$165,000 annually plus bonus and Restricted Stock Units

What you will do

• Build and own components of hirify.global Cloud’s managed container registry serving images for training and inference workloads.
• Design, implement, test, roll out, and operate features across the full software lifecycle.
• Improve production performance, reliability, maintainability, and observability of registry services.
• Address complex and ambiguous challenges involved in building cloud provider infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to align technical solutions with customer and operational needs.
• Identify opportunities to make systems safer, faster, and easier to operate.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience, with emphasis on demonstrated work and problem-solving ability.
• Experience contributing to fault-tolerant distributed systems operating under high load in production.
• Hands-on experience profiling and benchmarking real systems and evaluating performance tradeoffs.
• Strong fundamentals in microservices and cloud-native infrastructure, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Proficiency in at least one of Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
• Ability to collaborate across functions, communicate technical tradeoffs, and mentor teammates.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OCI image and distribution specifications.
• Experience building container registry products.
• Experience with storage or caching systems at scale.
