Development Engineer II - CONTRACTOR (Wireless Automotive Connectivity)

Location: Aliso Viejo, California, United States. Up to 30% travel, including out-of-state and international travel.

Salary: $70,725–$94,300 USD annually

What you will do

• Perform MNO certification testing and validation for cellular-connected automotive products.
• Prepare test plans, execute test cases, document results, and maintain certification deliverables.
• Investigate network, modem, software, and system issues and support root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development teams, certification laboratories, carriers, external partners, and customers to resolve issues.
• Track certification milestones, issue closure, technical documentation, and launch readiness.
• Conduct vehicle-based testing, including driving or stationary testing for extended periods.

Requirements

• Knowledge of wireless communication technologies, including LTE, 5G, VoLTE, and network protocols.
• Experience in product validation, certification, testing, or related engineering activities.
• Ability to analyze technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in wireless communications, telematics, or connectivity solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with MNO or carrier certification for wireless, telematics, or connected products.
• Familiarity with carrier, regulatory, or industry certification processes.
• Experience with embedded systems, networking, and diagnostic or log-analysis tools.
• Korean and English bilingual proficiency.
