Interior Designer

Location: On-site in Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo, Michigan

What you will do

• Collaborate with design and architecture teams on projects from concept through completion.
• Explore space planning, material concepts, and experiential design ideas.
• Develop 3D models, visualizations, and presentation materials that communicate design intent.
• Prepare interior design documentation, including finish plans, specifications, and project coordination materials.
• Research and select furniture, finishes, materials, and colors aligned with project goals.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations while contributing ideas to project design and storytelling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program.
• 1–7 years of professional commercial design experience, preferably in workplace, hospitality, higher education, or multifamily design.
• Experience organizing interior design documentation.
• Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.
• Strong verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with SketchUp, ArchiCAD, or Revit, plus Adobe Creative Suite or similar visualization tools.
