What you will do
- Define, document, and evolve UI standards, interaction patterns, and usage guidance for Vehicle OS.
- Conduct governance reviews and system-level audits to identify misalignments and provide actionable recommendations.
- Organize and maintain shared Figma libraries, templates, and file structures.
- Translate complex design decisions and trade-offs into clear documentation.
- Support and lead governance forums, record decisions, and keep standards discoverable.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to improve consistency across vehicle programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, UX Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in UX, product, or interaction design for complex digital products or platforms.
- Experience contributing to, maintaining, or applying design systems, pattern libraries, or UX guidelines at scale.
- Proficiency with Figma and common design or prototyping tools, including shared libraries and templates.
- Ability to collaborate across design, product, and engineering and participate in constructive critique.
Nice to have
- Experience in design governance, design operations, standards, or enablement.
- Experience with in-vehicle, embedded, safety-critical, or other multi-surface interfaces.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and their integration into design guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including structured documentation.
