Advanced Engineering Technician (Machining)

Salary: $60,000–$180,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Support the design, testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
• Construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust tools, equipment, and systems.
• Conduct, analyze, and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters.
• Design and construct tooling and fixtures for unique tasks.
• Analyze process data, identify cause-and-effect relationships, and implement documented process improvements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced machining experience with manual and CNC-controlled equipment, including HAAS mills, 4th- and 5th-axis equipment, and lathes.
• Proficiency with fabrication tools, complex hardware fabrication, SolidWorks or other CAM software, and GD&T.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 50 pounds.
