Child Welfare Auditor (Child Welfare)

Location: Remote, based in the United States; location listed as Fairfax, Virginia. Travel throughout the US is required, including two days of onsite work plus travel for each facility audit.

Salary: $74,090–$125,954 annually based on full-time employment.

What you will do

• Audit facilities serving unaccompanied refugee children, including shelters, group homes, and residential treatment facilities.
• Review site policies, training materials, reports, and evidence related to sexual abuse and harassment prevention.
• Develop audit reports, corrective action plans, tools, reports, and protocols.
• Consult with agency and organizational staff on best practices and recommend practice improvements.
• Contribute to project reporting, data collection, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, public administration, or a relevant field.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency is required.
• Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, and Child Protective Services clearances for each state of residence during the past five years is required.
• At least five years of professional child welfare experience, including at least three years of relevant monitoring, evaluation, and child welfare experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• At least two years of experience completing accreditation or licensing audits.
• At least two years of experience conducting child abuse investigations.
